About the ON THE RISE (OTR) Program for Musicians

At the Henry Kapono Foundation (HKF), our commitment is to help support and empower Hawaiߵi's next generation of musicians and music industry professionals through providing meaningful on stage work experiences at venues and events throughout the islands, access to digital resources and professional mentorship. Our team is eager to help these entertainers get started, collaborating both on and off the stage!

Once an OTR applicant has been awarded placement in the program, they will be recorded in the HKF Professional Music Exchange (Online Artist & Music Industry Directory) and offered to perform in various shows and environments throughout the program. During these performances, HKF will provide mentorship coaching and identify further how to develop individual talent and stage presence. Each performance potentially Includes - Prep, Promotion, Rehearsals, etc.
