Laupepa
Bio
Laupepa started his career as a musician early in highschool and developed his craft through performances across the world with Nonosina and with his father, Tui Letuli. Throughout playing college football at UH Manoa, he honed his guitar and vocal skills while he established relationships with local Hawai’i artists jamming casual kanikapila style, and even did some songwriting of his own. One of those artists he got to know and collaborate with often was current Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winner and GRAMMY Nominee Josh Tatofi; Laupepa has been his guitarist since 2016 and has toured with him throughout Japan, Hawaii, and the mainland.
In his own style, Laupepa is extremely flexible with his tone and phrasing so that he can incorporate many variations of genres into his sets. When singing Samoan, Tongan, and Hawaiian songs he will show you his sweetest ranges while his more alternative, reggae, and other upbeat jams will make you want to get up and dance! He takes the audience somewhere else through his enchanting instrumentals and smooth vocals; it will take you on an adventure within the comfort of your seat.
