Bio
Radio and TV personality Billy V is in his 39th year of being part of the Hawaii Entertainment Industry and is often referred to as “The Hawaiian Ryan Seacrest” for his diversified career. He is an original member and Entertainment Reporter on Hawaii News Now SUNRISE (CBS/NBC/Ind), which started in 2006. Billy V started in radio in 1983 on Hawaii Island (KKON/KOAS FM) and moved to Honolulu in 1986, where he has worked at KCCN 1420 AM, KORL AM 650, KRATER96. BillyV was the original Music Director/later Program Director of KCCN FM 100 radio, the worldʻs first 24-7 Hawaiian music format station on the FM dial. He would also work mornings on KCCN FM 100 and Hawaiian 105 Radio. He worked alongside legendary radio talents such as Honolulu Skylark and Krash Kealoha, Kimo Kahoano, Brickwood Galuteria, Dave Lancaster, and more. Billy V has also emceed Hawaiiʻs most significant events from the Nā Hoku Hanohano Awards, Merrie Monarch Festival, NFL Pro Bowl, Hawaii Bowl, Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pageants, Lantern Floating Hawaii, and Project Graduations for thousands of graduating high school students for over 25 years. He is currently the Game Day Activities Coordinator for the University of Hawaii Athletics for Football, Womenʻs Volleyball, and Menʻs Basketball.
