50 Years of the Songs of C&K

The 50th-anniversary celebration was not just about honoring the past but also about looking toward the future.

In celebration of Henry's 50th anniversary in the music industry, Henry decided to give back to his music community by pledging to donate a percentage of the August 26th event's proceeds to the Henry Kapono Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and elevating Hawaiʻi’s music industry. That means $10 per lawn tickets sold, $1 per seated ticket AND a portion of merchandise sales went back to the community. This generous act exemplifies Henry's unwavering passion for his craft and his deep-rooted commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

In the wake of the 2023 Maui Wildfires, the Henry Kapono Foundation swiftly mobilized to extend hope and assistance during a devastating time and created the We are Friends Maui Emergency Relief Program, specifically focused on providing immediate support to Maui’s Professional Musicians in crisis. Thanks to the outpouring of generosity from Henry Kapono, individual and organization donors alike, the Henry Kapono Foundation has raised a substantial donation to provide immediate relief to those affected by the Maui wildfire. The funds collected will be utilized to give $500 Foodland Giftcards to Professioanl musicians who were impacted.

The 50th Anniversary Concert and The 'We Are Friends Maui' campaign is not just an initiative; it is a testament to the true meaning of aloha, reminding us that we are stronger when we stand united.
