Through the Imua Program, HKF is proud to partner with the following like minded organizations to support music opportunities and career development.

In 2022, the HKF and University of Hawaiߵi’s Windward Community CollegeCampus, partnered to create the Henry Kapono Foundation’s Hawaiian Music Scholarship Fund for the Ka‘ohekani cohort program, which launched for the 2023-24 Academic Year and continues today.

To date the HKF has supported 11 HKF Hawaiian Music Scholarships.

HKF is proud to be a scholarship sponsor the Hawai‘i Songwriting Festival since 2023, the state’s premier songwriting conference. This world-class event unites aspiring and established songwriters with top industry professionals for inspiring workshops, mentorship, and career-changing opportunities. An unforgettable celebration of music and creativity.

Since 2022, HKF has provided 34 scholarships.

HKF proudly supports MeleCraft Bootcamp, a Hāpunaleo mentorship program led by Grammy-nominated producer Kimié Miner that empowers youth ages 14–22 through songwriting, music production, and industry education rooted in Hawaiian culture.

Since 2024, HKF has supported three bootcamps, expanding access to this free program for emerging artists across Hawaiʻi.
