Yes. The Hawai‘i Kai Independence Day Market & Concert is free and open to the public for all ages!

The event takes place on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

The event will be held at Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center, located at:

377 Keahole Street
Honolulu, HI 96825

The concert stage will be located on the Longs Drugs side of Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center.

The market will be located outdoors along the makai side of Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center.

Parking will be limited. Guests are encouraged to walk, carpool, take the bus, or use a rideshare app when possible.

Overflow parking will be available at the Park & Ride lot on Keahole Street. Mahalo to the City & County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services for allowing use of the Park & Ride lot for event overflow parking. See overflow map at the bottom of this page.

Please be mindful that parking is still limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parking behind Safeway is reserved for Artists & Vendors. Parking in the Event Space is prohibited.

Yes. Guests are encouraged to consider taking the bus to help reduce traffic and parking congestion.

Yes. Four portable restrooms will be located near the McDonald’s / Queen’s Medical side of the event.

Restrooms will also be available at Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center near Island Brew. Please be respectful of shopping center tenants and other guests when using shared facilities.

A limited number of chairs will be set up in front of the stage on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests are also welcome to bring their own camping chairs, but chairs must not block walkways, vendor areas, roadways, pedestrian traffic, or emergency access.

General event seating is first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved.

A limited VIP Experience may be available inside Kapono’s at The Lounge. Please click the VIP and After Party Posters above for tickets.

Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the outdoor public event.

Guests may enjoy alcoholic beverages only at licensed restaurants and bars within Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center.

Yes. The event is dog-friendly. Dogs must remain leashed and under control at all times. Please clean up after your pet and be mindful of crowds, music, and other guests.

Yes. The event will include dining options throughout Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center and food vendors and trucks.

Yes. The outdoor market will feature local vendors, artists, makers, food vendors, community partners, and Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center businesses.

The event will feature live music from local artists, including Henry Kapono & Band, Kapena, Manoa DNA, Hawaiian Style Band, Maunalua, Kala‘e & Kalena Parish, Kailua Moon, and special guest appearances by Henry Kapono Foundation’s On the Rise artists.

No. There will not be fireworks at this event.

Guests may bring personal food and non-alcoholic beverages. Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

Food and drink will also be available for purchase from vendors and shopping center businesses.

Yes. A VIP Experience and After Party will be available inside Kapono’s at The Lounge. Space is limited.

Guests using wheelchairs or mobility devices are welcome to enjoy the concert from any safe viewing area that does not block roadways, pedestrian traffic, vendor booths, tenant entrances, or emergency access.

The concert area will be flexible, and guests are encouraged to arrive early for the best available viewing areas.

Personal tents, pop-up tents, large umbrellas, and shade structures are not permitted in the audience area, as they may block views, walkways, or emergency access.

Small handheld umbrellas may be used only if it rains and if they do not block the view or movement of other guests.

Please be respectful of guests, families, vendors, and shopping center businesses. Smoking or vaping should only take place in areas where it is legally permitted and away from crowds, vendor booths, dining areas, and building entrances.
