Home in the Islands serves as a gathering place for bringing our communities together as we celebrate the music and rich culture that embodies the Spirit of Hawaiʻi.

Produced by Kapono Inc. and Supported by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority, the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism – Creative Industries  Department, the Native Hawaiian Hospitality Association and other top Hawaiʻi based corporate sponsors;  the HITI event is focused on presenting Hawaiʻi’s music and culture both locally and nationally.

The 2022 HITI event hosted thousands of diverse fans and visitors from all over the globe, uniting our community with the power of music, while also cultivating meaningful work opportunities for Hawaiʻi’s entertainment workforce and many locally-owned related industry businesses.

In 2023, as HITI evolves to a national level Music Documentary and Music Festival, the event will spread our message of Mālama Hawaiʻi (to care for our island home) to the world, while elevating the values of our Hawaiian culture, and exposing our uniquely talented local performers to a broader international audience.

This successful event is the launching point for many more great opportunities to elevate Hawaiʻiʻs creative industries and to boost the local economy with new, exciting, and culturally rich experiences.

Home in the Islands™ was a partial fundraiser for the Henry Kapono Foundation, whose mission supports the diverse and talented entertainers of the Hawaiian Islands.
