Season 7 - The Maui Series
Multiple award-winning and GRAMMY® nominee, Henry Kapono is back with his 7th season of his hit Artist 2 Artist concert series, to share the stage with some of Hawai`i’s most diverse and talented musical entertainers with twelve shows dedicated to the island of Maui. Presented by the Henry Kapono Foundation (HKF), Season 7 shines the spotlight on the stories and music of Maui. Each show features a talented Maui entertainer followed by one of Hawai’i’s top musicians who have a personal connection to Maui and its recovery efforts; Lahaina resident and legendary performer Keola Beamer with talented Maui artist Anthony Pfluke, multi award-winning and legendary Jerry Santos with talented Lahaina, Maui artist Josh Kahula, the effervescent Kimié Miner and, Lahaina resident and business owner, Arlie-Avery Asiu, and husband and wife Kala'e Parish & Kalenaku with Maui’s own Pat Simmons Jr, giving the audience insight to the spirit and an opportunity to share in the healing efforts.
Season 7 is presented by the Henry Kapono Foundation(HKF) in support of its “We are Friends Maui” (WAFM) Kōkua Program. The WAFM program started as an emergency basic essentials relief initiative, providing $500 Grocery Cards to almost 200 Maui based music industry professionals and their families, during the aftermath of the wildfires on Maui. Expanding in 2024, WAFM will launch community outreach with the ‘Healing through Music’ program and empower Maui’s music community to thrive through supporting meaningful work opportunities for Maui’s legendary, established, and up & coming entertainers through live events and organizations looking for talent.
The Henry Kapono’s Artist 2 Artist Concert Series is a Kapono Inc. production entering its 7th season, and with presenting sponsor HKF, is partnering with key venues that include: Blue Note Hawaii, Maui Arts & Culture Center, Kona Sea Salt Farm and official Hotel Sponsor Outrigger Resorts & Hotels.
